Martín Galarza, artistically known as Au-D, is a singer and songwriter considered one of the most influential and pioneering figures of the rap genre in Ecuador. Although he was born in New York, he was raised in Guayaquil and developed his career in the country, obtaining Ecuadorian nationality for his invaluable contribution to the culture. He rose to fame in the late 1980s, marking a milestone with his hit "Tres Notas," a song that introduced the innovative fusion of ballad-rap and became an anthem for an entire generation.
